2029 Federal bank holidays and direct deposits
Federal Reserve service schedules can change ACH processing windows. A holiday does not guarantee that every paycheck will be late because employers and banks may adjust their timing.

How a holiday can affect payday
ACH files move on banking schedules. If a scheduled settlement date falls around a closure, a payer may submit payroll earlier or the deposit may become available on the next processing day. Early-pay features remain dependent on when the bank receives the payer's instruction.
What to do
- Check your employer's announced payday.
- Check your bank's official status and account alerts.
- If the scheduled date passed, ask payroll whether the file was sent and request its trace number.
